What is RAW EGG NATIONALISM IN THEORY AND PRACTICE?

Introduction

RAW EGG NATIONALISM IN THEORY AND PRACTICE is a book written by famous dissident right-wing author and Twitter user RAW EGG NATIONALIST. This book is a self-help, cookbook, and political manifesto all blended together into a nice digestible post-workout protein shake (that’ll be funny later on).

I am not a medical expert. Please consult a doctor or dietician before following any advice in this article.

Truly this book is a great read and I personally loved the format and layout of it. Everybody should appreciate just how different of an idea it is. Even if you don’t agree with the author’s opinions, you have to respect how creative it is to make a political manifesto out of a cookbook.

Anywho let’s look a little deeper into the author.

About the Author

As stated above the author goes by the pseudonym RAW EGG NATIONALIST and is most well known for his Twitter and this book which you can buy by clicking here.

Another noteworthy thing is he is also the owner of Man’s World Digest which is described as ” the finest masculine content for today’s massively online generation.”

you can buy the first issue by clicking here.

If you look him up on any podcasting platform you can find many interviews he’s done by other people. I actually first heard him when he was on Jack Murphey’s podcast. He’s clearly a very likable man and well-spoken.

Now, let’s see how his writing is in his book!

A WORD OR TWO ABOUT RAW EGG NATIONALISM

What is RAW EGG NATIONALISM? Is it a political philosophy or is it a diet? BOTH says the Raw Egg Nationalist, He quotes his friend Ben Braddock Saying :

” The premise is simple really, we are nationalists of a variety that emphasize the health and vitality of the nation-state and all who live in it. The corrupted toxic food supply is an overgrowth of the large-scale low-quality mindset of globalism that has no concern other than the bottom line. No loyalty to the health and vitality of the country or anyone in it. ”

He goes on to explain the connection between right-wing politics and physical fitness. This is because it reinforces the Right Wing values such as self-reliance and ” pain as the true path to beauty”.

This kicks off the rest of the book because as everyone knows a big part of physical fitness is having a good diet to get your nutritional needs ( unless you have great genetics but that’s rare, otherwise they would just be mediocre instead. )

What is this diet? If you’re a high IQ GIGA-CHAD genius then I’m sure you could’ve guessed by the title. It’s pure, beautiful, unperverted, RAW EGGS! Why? Because as the Raw Egg Nationalist says they have “… immense nutritional value.”

Something that he notes is that eggs have high amounts of cholesterol which helps boost testosterone. Cholesterol levels are also a good indicator of lean muscle mass.

These benefits were so good that even bodybuilders like Vince Gironda who the author likes to call the ” Nikola Tesla of bodybuilding.”

He would suggest that the beginner bodybuilder should drink 36 raw eggs a day so he could get the anabolic benefits of such a diet. He would also claim that it was as close to a cycle of steroids as a natural bodybuilder could get ( IDK if that’s true or not but it sounds cool .) after a while, however, they can decrease to just 12 eggs a day.

Raw Egg Nationalist ends the chapter by suggesting that if you follow his advice then you should get good-quality eggs. preferably from a local farmer but, if you can’t get it from the source you can buy organic, free-range, pasture-raised eggs from your grocery store instead!

SHAKES

What is something that every good bodybuilder needs? A nice protein shake of course! Our wonderful author has given us his alternative to the standard whey protein shake ( or if you’re weird, a nice soy protein shake.) with the secret ingredient of eggs.

throughout this chapter, he gives various recipes for egg shakes. The simplest of which is the one made by Vince Gironda, here are the ingredients :

  • 6-12 eggs
  • 350 ml Half and half
  • Maple syrup for taste
  • 1-2 bananas (post-workout only)

This recipe has anywhere from 890 calories all the way up to 1,620 calories, very calorie-dense.

Now, something to be noted is that most of these shakes are CLEARLY meant for people who struggle to put on weight. If you’re anything like me and don’t have trouble putting on the pounds ( I weighed a whopping 150 pounds when I was only ten years old) then you’d want to stay away from many of the recipes he’s included.

As a solution to make a more calorie-friendly shake, I thought it would be a good idea to include a lower-calorie option for those of us on a diet but still want that beautiful raw egg nutrition.

I call this the diet egg experience, the recipe goes as follows:

  • 6 large eggs
  • One cup of whole milk
  • One serving of sugar-free maple syrup

This shake has 585 calories, which is still not great for weight loss but it’s a nice middle-ground.

While this isn’t the whole list of recipes in the book, it should be enough for you to get the idea and hopefully, it’s enough to get you interested in trying one! Onto the next chapter.

COOKED EGGS

Most people aren’t into the whole chugging down raw eggs thing, our author is aware of this and has provided five recipes for people who would rather consume their eggs the traditional way…Cooked.

With each of the recipes he usually gives some tips on how to cook them properly. The recipe for scrambled eggs suggests not to overcook the eggs with their stove top set to high. Rather one should set it to a low-medium heat so you may actually cook it instead of having crispy eggs (not my personal favorite but if you like that sort of thing then go ahead).

Here are the ingredients he suggests using for his scrambled eggs:

  • Four eggs
  • A dash of whole milk or heavy cream
  • A serving of butter
  • A pinch of salt and pepper

Sounds very nutritious and lovely, and to continue the theme of the last chapter I would suggest making a diet version without the butter. If you’re really trying to cut calories then replace the whole milk with fat-free milk so you still get some of the benefits of the milk itself.

Another suggestion that sounds really smart is using a hot sauce like Tobasco sauce on your eggs after you’ve cooked them (I like to use siracha for my eggs ), the thing that I like so much about using this holy condiment is that it does not only add a heavy-weight champion’s punch worth of flavor ( which is too much for some, but definitely not for me). It’s also a zero-calorie option to add flavor to your food, other than the typical salt and pepper.

The rest of the chapter has many good tips like the ones I mentioned earlier and is definitely worth reading for the rest of the recipes. All in all it’s another good chapter, and we still have a few more to go through.

STEAK

” Good quality red meat and organ meat are of course, essential parts of raw egg nationalism.” pg. 39

RAW EGG NATIONALIST, RAW EGG NATIONALISM, September 14, 2020

Steaks are another major food staple in the Raw Egg Nationalism diet. With good reason to, as most cuts of steak have lots of protein and fat, both of which are essential macro-nutrients.

The author suggests when you’re out grocery shopping and trying to decide which steaks to get make sure it’s grass-fed, this is because it has a better omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.

While it’s ideal to get your steaks from a local source such as your local farm, this isn’t always a viable option so make sure it says that it’s organic on the label of your steaks when you purchase them at the supermarket so you’ll know that you’re getting the highest quality that you can.

Okay so now you got your steak and eggs, now what? If you’re looking for a diet plan that includes steaks, The Raw Egg Nationalist suggests following Vince Gironda’s steak-and-eggs diet.

You should be eating nothing but steak and eggs. First, try it for two to three weeks to see how your body handles it he suggests.

Also, try having your first meal at midday and then have two more before 8 p.m.

You don’t need to count your calories, he actually says that one should eat as much as one wants and not worry all that much about the calorie content that your food contains in this diet.

another important caveat to this diet is that every four days you should eat a carb meal so you can replenish your glycogen stores. I’d personally suggest you eat some fruit for your source as carbs so you can get some vitamin C and some much-needed fiber in this diet, but I do understand that fiber isn’t everybody’s thing.

He gives a couple of recipes for cooking and using with your steaks such as a peppercorn sauce ( which sounds quite lovely) along with a surprisingly simple steak tartare recipe ( It doesn’t need to be cooked, in case you weren’t aware of what tartare was).

While I’d love to share some of these recipes with you, I have to leave something out of this article so you can be motivated to go buy and read the book yourself.

TREATS

We all need a cheat day once in a while and some of the yummy treats that we like to use are better than others. The Raw Egg Nationalist thankfully gave us a couple in this chapter along with ways to make them at home so we don’t have to go out to the supermarkets and buy the mass-produced garbage that seems to fill the isles these days.

” I’ve called this section the, ‘Treats’ section, containing as it does two ice cream recipes, a bread-based recipe and a recipe for meringues; but really there’s no reason why ice cream, at least, shouldn’t be a regular part of your diet.” pg. 46

RAW EGG NATIONALIST, RAW EGG NATIONALISM, September 14, 2020

A word or two he gives in the beginning however are against breads, he proposes that the gluten within the bread is more than likely not good for not just our physical but our mental health as well.

Giving us an anecdote of how he went without products that contained gluten for a couple of weeks. He explains how he felt less sluggish and less brain fog, by all means, he felt ready for the world. If for some reason you feel this might help you, try fasting from products with gluten in them. I like my cakes a little too much to give up the gluten.

Surprisingly though one of the top treats that our main man suggests is ice cream. A warning he does give about supermarket ice cream on page 46 “Generally, commercially made ice creams, even expensive ones, contains a lot of crap, especially carrageenan, a thickener which is used to ‘inflate’ the product.”

Other than that, high-quality ice cream, such as the recipe he gives that one can make at home, is fair game for the aspiring bodybuilder. This is due to it having a fair amount of carbs, fats, and much-needed protein that someone wanting to put on muscle in the gym would need.

The ice cream recipe in this chapter is without a doubt the best recipe, he even included a recipe for a caramel sauce that is supposed to be poured out of the pan immediately after it was cooked in the pan to be poured on top of the ice cream, do this if you want to show off in front of some of your guests and show off how awesome this new diet you’re doing is. Sorry, but you’ll just have to buy the book for that recipe ;).

ALCOHOL

Not necessarily the most health-focused chapter in this book as it’s devoted to the good old hooch, the lucky courage, giggle juice, or that special sauce. whatever your preferred slang for it, you’ll know what it is, alcohol.

At the start of this chapter, he says the obvious but it has to be said anyway, alcohol is in fact bad for you. Maybe his only controversial take in this chapter, but, it’s definitely not an unreasonable one is that your average modern-day beer is bad for your testosterone. Gruit, he tells us, might be a “healthier” and more traditional alternative to modern beer as gruit is brewed without hops.

All five recipes in this section, in classic Raw Egg Nationalist fashion, contain eggs in one way or another. We begin with a classic alcoholic beverage which is of course eggnog.

I personally as a kid was scared to drink eggnog ( we always had non-alcoholic eggnog because no one drank alcohol in my family) because the name always sounded odd to me. After mustering the courage to take a sip, I was pleasantly surprised by the creamy, sweet taste.

Would highly recommend this chapter if you or a friend want to get into making cocktails, this might be a good place to start as it has some more advanced recipes but not so advanced that it becomes anything more than a fun challenge.

Conclusions

RAW EGG NATIONALISM IN THEORY AND PRACTICE is a very well-written book.

If this book was supposed to be a literary experiment of trying to blend a cookbook with a political manifesto then I’d say it was a great success.

His sense of humor I find to be very wholesome, it’s a type of zoomer humor but mixed with almost a kind of dad-joke type of humor.

It was a quick read as well, could easily read the whole thing in less than a day, if this book at all interests you then I’d suggest you go ahead and buy it and read it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a wonderful day, take care o wary traveler!
